“No termites here” says the termite inspection
Sorry for the finger guys
“The door is fine, just needs some adjustments.”
“No structural damage, nope.”
Color me sick and tired of “professionals” looking at things. Like the A/C guy telling me I need an entirely new system for a leak in the coil. However;
Integral blinds are pretty frickin sweet. Just need a little foam and trim, and some finishing touches outside to finish up everything.
What’s left you ask?
Fix A/C leak and charge with freon
Fix roof leak
Fix inspection hole in ceiling
Thats all the repairs anyways... And I do need something car related right?
Both cars fit, out of the elements, and I got to try my custom car cover for the first time. Sweet.

Love the 9-2x. And that looks rough. Any way you can get a refund back from the inspector, or at least file a complaint? Because that’s a load of bunk.

Nope, inspector said “some damage to joist” which turned out to be everything above from water damage. And the house was a short sale, so no go there. It sucks, but at this point it is what it is.
And thanks, the 9-2x is the beater too haha.

This is actually pretty standard for the whole residential A/C industry. They’ll get you a whole new system, fix the $40-150 repair you really needed, then sell that system as gently used. People think mechanics/dealers are bad, but A/C (at least in Chicago) is truly awful.

So much suck. But at least you’re getting an upgrade out of it.
